Elite 1-to-1 online tutoring for GCSE and SATs students. No jargon, no filler — just clear thinking, consistent progress, and results that show up on results day.
The MMS formula
We've stripped out what doesn't move the needle and kept only what consistently produces better grades.
Progress intelligence
After every session your tutor maps strengths and gaps across the full curriculum — so nothing slips through before exam day.
Real results
Our students average a 1.4 grade improvement in 12 weeks. Structured 1-to-1 attention is why — not magic.
Pure 1-to-1
No classrooms, no distractions. Every session planned around your child's exact syllabus, exam board, and weak spots.
Exam-board accurate
We know every spec inside out. Your child's mark schemes and past papers shape every session plan.
Flexible
Evening and weekend slots. Book, reschedule, or cancel online — no awkward calls needed.
Fully online
Zoom + shared whiteboard. Same quality as in-person, from the comfort of home.
SATs → GCSE
KS2 SATs through to GCSE Higher — one trusted provider across the key milestones.
Parent-first
Session notes and monthly progress summaries sent straight to you. No surprises.
The MMS method
We don't just teach formulas — we build the understanding behind them. Pick a topic and see how we break it down.
See how MMS tutors simplify it into logical, memorable steps.
Spot the values
Identify a, b, c. For x²−5x+6=0: a=1, b=−5, c=6
Find two numbers
Multiply to give c (+6) and add to give b (−5) → −2 and −3
Write the brackets
(x − 2)(x − 3) = 0
Solve each bracket
x = 2 or x = 3 ✓
m = gradient
Rise ÷ run. How much y changes per 1 unit of x.
c = y-intercept
Where the line crosses the y-axis. Plug in x = 0.
Plot two points
x=0 gives c; x=1 gives m+c. Join and extend.
Parallel lines rule
Same gradient m → parallel. Different c → different position ✓
Find the hypotenuse (c)
Always the longest side — opposite the right angle.
Square the two shorter sides
3² + 4² = 9 + 16 = 25
Square root the total
√25 = 5
Finding a shorter side?
a² = c² − b². Subtract, then square root ✓
SOH: Sin = Opposite ÷ Hypotenuse
Side facing the angle ÷ longest side.
CAH: Cos = Adjacent ÷ Hypotenuse
Side next to the angle ÷ longest side.
TOA: Tan = Opposite ÷ Adjacent
No hypotenuse needed — just the two shorter sides.
Label your triangle first
Hyp opposite right angle. Opp/Adj depend on which angle ✓
